Delta Goodrem is preparing to return to the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor this Saturday with a song that pays tribute to one of music’s most remarkable comeback stars: Celine Dion.
The Australian singer, 41, and her professional dance partner, Kai Widdrington, will perform a rumba to Dion’s 1996 hit It’s All Coming Back To Me Now, marking Goodrem’s return to the competition after a painful rib injury threatened to derail her Strictly journey.
The comeback comes after Goodrem was reportedly taken to hospital twice with a suspected cracked rib sustained during training. Despite the injury, she danced through the pain on the Saturday before last before receiving a bye and missing the following show.
Goodrem and her husband, Matthew Copley, were recently spotted arriving at a dance studio in north London, where she received medical clearance to perform this weekend.

An insider described the past week as particularly difficult, revealing just how far the singer has come in her recovery.
“To say last week was rough would be putting it mildly,” the source said. “A week ago Delta could barely get out of bed, now she’s counting down to her return to the dancefloor.”
The rumba is also expected to offer a more manageable challenge as Goodrem eases back into the competition. According to the insider, the routine allows her to perform without lifts, giving her a better chance of making it through to the next round.
“She’s by no means home and dry but she’s ready to give it everything she’s got,” the source added.
Delta Goodrem And Celine Dion Share A Musical Connection

The choice of song carries added significance because Goodrem and Dion, 58, have a history that stretches beyond their shared experiences on the international stage.
Both singers have competed at Eurovision. Dion won the contest for Switzerland in 1988, while Goodrem represented Australia this year, finishing in fourth place.
Goodrem has also contributed to Dion’s music career, co-writing the Canadian superstar’s 2007 track Eyes on Me and providing backing vocals.
The tribute comes shortly after Dion returned to the stage last month following several years of health challenges. Goodrem attended one of the singer’s comeback performances, making the connection between their respective returns particularly fitting.

With her recovery still ongoing, Goodrem faces a demanding weekend as she attempts to get back into the Strictly competition. Her rumba to Dion’s iconic hit will mark an important step in that journey.
