Guillermo Rodriguez has found a sweet way to thank his Dancing with the Stars partner Witney Carson after their elimination from the competition, giving the professional dancer a designer gift that left her touched.
Carson, 32, shared a photo of the present on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, October 14, revealing a small baby-blue quilted Dior handbag. The gift came from Rodriguez, 55, and his family following the pair’s elimination from the ABC dance competition the previous evening.

Alongside the photo, Carson expressed her appreciation, writing that the gift was from Guillermo and his family and calling him incredibly sweet.
The pair’s journey on Dancing with the Stars came to an end during Week 5, which aired on Tuesday, October 13. Their departure also prompted a reaction from Jimmy Kimmel, Rodriguez’s longtime employer on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he works as the host’s sidekick.
During his monologue that night, Kimmel voiced his frustration with the results, joking that Rodriguez had once again found himself in danger of elimination despite relying on viewers to keep him in the competition. He described the outcome as a kick in the Mirrorballs, putting his own humorous spin on the show’s signature trophy.
Kimmel later interviewed Rodriguez and Carson about their elimination. In typical fashion, he questioned whether they would accept the results or consider taking legal action. Rodriguez jokingly agreed that legal action might be necessary, while Carson enthusiastically played along.

Their lighthearted response offered a glimpse of the friendship and humor that developed throughout their time together on the show.
Before their elimination, Carson had also addressed speculation that she wanted to leave the competition. Following the September 29 episode, the two-time Len Goodman Mirrorball champion took to TikTok to explain why her reactions during the results announcements may have been misunderstood.
She explained that being placed in the bottom three week after week meant the contestants did not get to celebrate being safe in the same way as other couples. Instead, they had to wait to learn who would be sent home, leaving Carson feeling genuinely sad for the eliminated dancers even when she and Rodriguez advanced.
Carson also emphasized how grateful she was to continue competing alongside Rodriguez, describing him as a kind person who was determined to improve. She praised his commitment to rehearsals, explaining that he often continued practicing whenever she was resting or when the pair had downtime at the studio.
According to Carson, Rodriguez consistently gave his best effort during performances, and his willingness to learn and work hard deserved recognition.
Carson is currently expecting her third child with her husband, Carson McAllister. She previously reassured fans who expressed concern about her health during the competition, saying she was comfortable speaking up if she felt she was physically pushing herself too far.
Although their Dancing with the Stars journey has ended, Rodriguez’s thoughtful gift and the pair’s warm exchanges suggest that their partnership left them with plenty of positive memories beyond the ballroom.
