Chaos at the Terminal
A group of passengers removed from an Aeroméxico flight for being drunk erupted into a violent brawl inside Mexico City International Airport on Wednesday, with dramatic footage capturing the chaos as it unfolded in Terminal 2.
Thrown Off the Plane
According to witnesses, the group was pulled from the flight after one member of the party allegedly damaged the aircraft before takeoff. Airline staff removed the passengers, who are believed to all be part of the same family, before the situation spiraled into a physical confrontation once they were back inside the terminal.

A Terminal Turned Battleground
Video circulating online shows several of the unidentified travelers storming past queue-control barriers and directly targeting customer service staff. One passenger tore free a stanchion pole and swung it wildly through the air, while another appeared to push behind the service desk before hurling what looked like a plastic water bottle across the terminal.
Staff Caught in the Middle
At one point, an airport employee attempted to physically restrain one of the passengers still holding the metal pole, pulling him into a bear hug in an apparent effort to stop him from using it as a weapon. Other airport security personnel and bystanders can be seen throughout the footage trying to break up the fighting, while stunned travelers nearby simply watched the scene unfold.

Authorities Step In
Following the brawl, officials at Mexico City International Airport confirmed in a statement posted to X that they requested intervention from local authorities, who brought those involved before a civic court. The airport said the move was necessary to preserve order and prevent further disruption to other travelers and airport facilities.

No Official Response Yet
Neither Mexico City International Airport nor Aeroméxico immediately responded to requests for comment on the incident. It remains unclear whether any of the passengers involved will face additional legal consequences beyond their appearance before the civic court.

A Reminder of Growing Air Travel Tensions
The viral footage adds to a growing list of unruly passenger incidents making headlines in recent years, as airlines and airports continue grappling with disruptive behavior tied to alcohol and in-flight conflicts. For now, the video serves as a stark reminder of how quickly a routine removal from a flight can escalate into a full-scale public disturbance.
