Leanne is back on Netflix, and Season 2 is bringing several new faces into Leanne Morgan’s increasingly complicated world.

The hit sitcom returned on August 27, 2026, picking up after a first season in which Morgan’s character, Leanne, saw her life dramatically change when her husband Bill, played by Ryan Stiles, left her for a younger woman.

While Leanne has begun building a new chapter with FBI agent Andrew, portrayed by Tim Daly, she has continued to struggle with the emotional fallout from her marriage. Season 2 follows that relationship while Leanne also deals with divorce, aging parents and the realities of dating at 60.

Alongside returning stars Kristen Johnston, Celia Weston, Blake Clark, Graham Rogers and Hannah Pilkes, the new season introduces five notable additions: Lainey Wilson, Jaime Pressly, Billy Gardell, Tyne Daly and Benim Foster.

Lainey Wilson

Country music star Lainey Wilson makes her Leanne debut as Jessie, Leanne’s cousin.

Netflix revealed Wilson’s character in a clip from the series in August. Morgan had previously teased the singer’s involvement in January, sharing a behind-the-scenes photo featuring Wilson and Johnston.

Wilson’s appearance adds another recognizable entertainment name to the sitcom as Leanne’s fictional family continues to expand.

Jaime Pressly

Jaime Pressly, best known for My Name Is Earl, joins the second season as Leanne’s hairdresser.

The character appears in the Season 2 trailer, where she asks Leanne whether she is experiencing divorce remorse following the split from Bill.

Pressly already has a connection to Leanne creator Chuck Lorre. She played Jill Kendall on Lorre’s sitcom Mom from 2014 to 2021, while Johnston also appeared on Mom beginning in 2018.

Billy Gardell

Billy Gardell makes a guest appearance in Season 2, with the trailer offering a glimpse of him sharing a flirtatious moment with Leanne at a local bar.

Gardell later shared a behind-the-scenes photo with Morgan on Instagram in July 2026, expressing his enthusiasm about filming the season and praising the cast.

Like Pressly, Gardell has extensive history with Lorre. He starred alongside Melissa McCarthy on Mike & Molly from 2010 to 2016 and later led Bob Hearts Abishola, which ran from 2019 to 2024.

Tyne Daly

The second season also brings a real-life family connection to the screen.

Tyne Daly joins her younger brother Tim Daly, who plays Andrew, marking another collaboration between the siblings. The two previously appeared together in the 2018 off-Broadway play Downstairs.

Netflix announced Tyne Daly’s casting in June 2026, adding an acclaimed veteran performer to the ensemble.

Benim Foster

Benim Foster is another new addition to Season 2. His casting was announced by his talent management company in July 2026.

Foster can be spotted in the Season 2 trailer at the same bar where Leanne encounters Gardell’s character, although the available preview offers only a brief look at his role.

With these five new additions, Leanne is expanding its world while continuing the personal story that made the first season a hit.

Morgan previously told PEOPLE that Season 2 explores how Leanne navigates divorce, caring for aging parents and dating at 60, while trying to make sense of a dramatically different stage of her life.

The new faces arrive alongside the returning cast, including Carol, Leanne’s sister, played by Kristen Johnston; their parents Margaret and John, played by Celia Weston and Blake Clark; and Leanne and Bill’s children Tyler and Josie, portrayed by Graham Rogers and Hannah Pilkes.

With Season 2 now streaming on Netflix, viewers can see how these new characters fit into Leanne’s next chapter.
