The Voice season 26 opens with an incredible first performance, earning the contestant an instant four-chair turn after just one note

Snoop Dogg knows what he likes when he hears it!

A preview video from Sept. 23 premiere of “The Voice,” shows Snoop Dogg hitting his buzzer after contestant Sofronio Vasquez belts out the first notes of Mary J. Blige’s “I’m Going Down” during Season 26’s first Blind Audition.

In the seconds that follow, Snoop’s fellow coaches — Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani — hit their buzzers, too, swinging their chairs around as the audience cheers.

Snoop, who along with Bublé makes his debut as a coach on the show this season, exchanges a knowing glance with McEntire. The two nod their heads in approval as Vasquez gets cooking on Blige’s classic ballad.

“Go ahead now!” Snoop yells out as Vasquez sings. “Come on home! Come on in!” he adds, waving Vasquez towards him.

All four coaches are seen leaping to their feet to give Vasquez a standing ovation when he’s done.

“You got four chairs!” Stefani screams, holding up four fingers.

Vasquez, who lives in the Philippines, then introduces himself to the coaches, who each make pitches to get him to join their team.

“I could not hit my button fast enough,” McEntire tells Vasquez. “Your voice is like butter. It is so easy on the ears. But your soulfulness touched my heart.”

“You’ve got the whole package,” she says.

Stefani continues the compliments, assuring Vasquez, “That was a Grammy performance.”

Vasquez sang his rendition like “somebody that knows God gave them the gift,” she says.

Bublé says the performance made him emotional: “Dude, I’ve got goosebumps.”

The rapper then takes off his shades to address Vazquez directly. Snoop labels McEntire as “country,” Stefani as “alternative” and Bublé as “croony.”

“This here is soul,” he says of himself and Vazquez’s sound. “Your soul. Your spirit.”

“This is where you need to be … Get in where you fit in,” the rapper says Team Snoop.

Which coach did Vasquez choose? Find out by tuning into the Season 26 premiere of “The Voice” Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
