“He is a natural-born live performer,” Snoop said of Beloate. “He’s at the pinnacle. He knows how to control his voice and his movements on stage and he proved it with his performance tonight. He was the most incredible singer that sang on ‘The Voice’ stage for Season 26.”

Stating that he chose Eagle because she had the most room to grow, Snoop also praised her prowess. “She is a fiery female who can sing good old-fashioned country music. She had one wing when I met her, and then she got a second wing and, as you can see, the eagle has landed,” he said. However, these choices did not sit well with many viewers.

On Facebook, users left comments such as “Snoop messed up by not picking the girl that sang the Whitney song” and ” So disappointed… Snoop made two poor choices… thought this show was about the voices… he will lose… the singers are not strong enough… he let the best go… shame on Snoop… I’m done watching this show. [sic]”

Another expressed their frustration, saying, “Never gonna watch it again. So disappointed in Snoops choice. IM DONE. [sic]” Similar sentiments were echoed on Instagram, with one user stating, “My jaw is on the FLOOR. Uncle Snoop, I hope you making moves for Austyns and Aliyah behind the scenes.”

Another added, “I’m done with ‘The Voice’! The idea that Snoop would send THE BEST TWO SINGERS HOME…and choose who he did is just ridiculous! I’m out!” Other comments included “Not picking Austyns is a crime. The show already has enough country singers” and “Oh wow! Unbelievable.”

On TikTok, the reactions were equally strong. One user said, “Big mistake I would have chosen Aliyah and Jeremy,” while another commented, “Aww Snoop this is just horrible!”

One TikToker seemed to agree with Snoop’s decision saying, “The others don’t need the voice’s help to progress in a singing career. The exposure on the show is enough. They will have record deals within 24 hours.” However, the disappointment was palpable across all platforms, with many fans feeling that the best vocalists were sent home.

Aliyah Khaylyn, who performed Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing,” left a lasting impression on the judges, with Gwen Stefani saying, “I’m in shock right now.” Despite this, Snoop decided to let her go.

Austyns Stancil, who sang “Adore” by Prince, and Mikaela Ayira, who performed “Love” by Keyshia Cole, were also eliminated, much to the dismay of viewers. Eagle secured her spot with a rendition of Reba McEntire’s “Fancy,” which received approval from McEntire herself.

Beloate’s passionate performance of “The Impossible Dream (My Quest)” by Josh Groban ensured his place in the live shows. As the controversy continues, some fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming live shows, curious to see how Snoop’s choices will fare.
