Niall Horan brings down the house with ‘Black & White’ at The Show Live On Tour at Rogers

The ‘Black And White’ video release follows Horan’s rousing acoustic performance of the song for Global Citizen’s One World: Together At Home broadcast. Horan joined the likes of The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, and Lady Gaga.

Released on 13 March, Heartbreak Weather debuted atop the UK and Irish albums charts and entered the Billboard 200 at No. 4. The album came in at No. 1 on NPR’s All Songs Considered list, which chronicles the week’s top 10 new albums, while Rolling Stone praised that Horan, “stretches out on his ace second solo album…Even with a bruised heart, he’s a charmer.”

To date, Heartbreak Weather has amassed over 500 million streams worldwide, thanks in part to its irresistible singles, including the bouncy ‘No Judgement,’ the ballad ‘Put A Little Love On Me,’ and the rock-tinged ‘Nice To Meet Ya,’ which has garnered over 300 million global streams since its release in October.

For his sophomore effort, the former One Direction member drew from a variety of influences, including Bruce Springsteen, Arctic Monkeys, and The Weeknd. The album was described in a statement by the artist as “nearly a concept album,” spanning a relationship from beginning to end. In a recent interview with British GQ, Horan explained the structure of the songs in the album: “I’ve got the really sad ones that are very ‘poor me,’ then there are what I like to call the egotistical ones, because there are nights when you go through a breakup when you just want to go out with your friends and wreck the place.”

In a statement on his website, he wrote, “Not being able to tour for what is effectively most of 2020 just didn’t feel right and I’m so sorry to all you amazing people who bought tickets. I look forward to being able to bring new music and a new tour for all of my fans around the world in 2021. I want to announce new dates soon but I don’t think it’s fair on you guys to do so until the dust has settled and things have gone back to normal.” And in 2024, he did it and performed “Black & White” at The Show Live On Tour Rogers.

Niall Horan’s song ‘Black and White’ is part of the emotional movie, All My Life.

Niall’s fans are loving the fact his song has been picked for the soundtrack of the film, with one person writing: “So this movie used Black and White by Niall Horan and Harry Shum Jr is starring in it….. this is automatically an academy award winner. I don’t make the rules.”

Another tweeted: “I watched this for Niall’s B&W but this movie looks amazing. Can’t wait!”

“A ROMANTIC MOVIE TRAILER WITH BLACK AND WHITE BY NIALL HORAN PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND IS WHAT I NEEDED TO CRY TO TODAY SO THANK YOU [sic],” declared another.

All My Life is about a true love story, following Solomon Chau (played by Harry Shum Jr) and Jenn Carter (Jessica Rothe), as their relationship goes from strength to strength before Sol’s health starts to rapidly deteriorate.

Their seemingly perfect relationship is interrupted when Sol is diagnosed with liver cancer and is told he doesn’t have much time left to live.

But the couple don’t let the news ruin the time they have left and get married in front of all their friends and family, learn dance routines, and watch sunsets at the beach together.

It’s definitely one to bring the tissues to!
