Beloate shared that Snoop Dogg’s advice was transformative. During rehearsals, Snoop emphasized the importance of showing both vulnerability and joy. “When you honor someone, you want to think about the beautiful moments you shared,” Snoop told him. This guidance helped Beloate infuse warmth and emotion into his performance, turning it into a tribute to his late brothers. The performance moved judges Reba McEntire and Snoop Dogg to tears.
The experience has strengthened Beloate’s confidence, helping him navigate personal struggles and embrace his identity as a queer man growing up in the South.
