NBC once again made waves on The Voice, but not in a way many fans expected, as Frankie Torres and Kendall Eugene were unexpectedly eliminated during the Season 26 Knockouts.
The night featured a variety of performances, ranging from Miley Cyrus to Frank Sinatra, on Tuesday, November 12. However, for some contestants, their time on the show came to an end, making their performances their swan songs.
Reba McEntire’s team was ready for the Knockouts, with her 2/3 country group preparing to take the stage. However, an unusual matchup arose between Katie O, Frankie Torres, and Kendall Eugene. The decision to keep two country singers on her team raised some questions. Due to time constraints in the broadcast, this particular Knockout wasn’t fully showcased, unlike the others.

Viewers only saw Katie O perform. At the end of her performance, Reba told her that she had turned the song into a “Katie O song” and informed her that she had won the Knockout.
Katie O’s bold performance of Reba’s “Turn On the Radio” showcased her confidence and lively personality, making her stand out as she took on a big risk. Performing in front of the Queen of Country herself, Katie managed to rock out with style and kept the audience engaged from start to finish.
However, the abrupt cut in her performance left little room for the other contestants to shine. While Katie’s performance was celebrated, the fates of Frankie and Kendall were overlooked. They were eliminated with no fanfare, no final performance, and no mention at all.
The experience must have been frustrating for both contestants. Despite the common occurrence of eliminations going unnoticed during the Battles and Knockouts, it’s still a tough pill to swallow when an artist’s journey is abruptly cut short, leaving little recognition for their efforts.
