Fans everywhere want Miranda Lambert and Kelly Clarkson to team up again for more heartfelt duets after the amazing emotional ballad

Miranda Lambert hailed Kelly Clarkson a “legendary” singer as the pair delivered a duet version of the country star’s emotional ballad, “Tin Man,” together on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Tuesday (September 24).

“I’ve covered a lot of your songs, but I think I’ve covered ‘Tin Man’ probably the most,” Clarkson said. She delivered a rendition of Lambert’s single earlier this year. “Tin Man” appeared on The Weight Of These Wings in 2016.

Lambert said when Clarkson covers “Tin Man,” “everybody sends it to me.” She applauded the original American Idol champion’s “mind-blowing” and “beautiful” performances. The two artists shared a heartfelt discussion about the song, and delivered a stunning rendition as a duet.

“It’s so relatable for people because you wanna be that open. You want to even, like, I wanna teach my children to be that open with their hearts. But you gotta also be aware that it might get crushed,” Clarkson said. Lambert replied, “(if) you’re gonna love big, it’s gonna hurt big. It relates to anything in life because’ love’s so worth it. But you know that there’s another side to it. You’ve got to do it anyway.”

After singing “Tin Man” together, Lambert said “it means the world to me,” that Clarkson has covered it so many times. “You are one of the — you are one of the best singers of all time. …Legendary. You’re legendary, and I’m honored to sing with you.”

Clarkson, feeling emotional, said she was “so glad I’m wearing sunglasses,” for the outdoor show.

Clarkson and Lambert also performed an acoustic cover of Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!,” and “No Man’s Land,” one of 14 tracks that appeared on Lambert’s 10th studio album, Postcards from Texas. She released the album earlier this month.
