Longtime fans of The Voice are slamming the current season for its lack of character. Although the show promised a new, exciting season featuring newcomers Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé, fans aren’t taking to it well, saying that the competition is quite boring.
The Voice Fans Aren’t Thrilled With This Season
The Voice season 26 was set to promise a new, exciting competition, with new coaches Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé. Although the coach picks are good, for the most part, fans are having a hard time latching on to this season.
Following last weeks’ set of the Knockout Rounds, The Voice fans shared their opinion on the season, via Reddit. In a thread titled “Most boring season” a user began a discussion, saying “Is it just me or is this season so very boring?”

General consensus is that this season isn’t appealing like others in the past. Many are saying that the talent is good, but nothing is really pulling them into the competition itself.
“I actually think it’s too much talent. Everyone’s very good,” a user wrote. “There’s no high highs and low lows. The song selection this season has been super weak too.”
In addition, many are saying the singers are getting very emotional on the show. This is typically expected in the genre, but some think that it’s happening more often now.
“Let’s see……am I watching The Voice or AGT? Hard to tell with all the crying…” a user wrote on Reddit. “And the last thing I need after another bad day at work is to come home to watch people cry about why they need to be a star.”
They Call This Set of Knockouts “The Worst in History”
This season, fans saw the return of the three way Knockout rounds. For those who may have missed it on TV, coaches pick three of their singers to compete against one another. Each singer performs a different song. Out of the three, the coach picks which one had the best song.
Fans began a Reddit thread talking about their annoyance with this part of the competition. The creator of the thread began it with the title “Worst knockouts in history.”
“That was a painful 2 hours which actually took me only about a half hour to watch bc I had ZERO interest in ANY of these 11 singers,” they wrote. “They were awful which was somewhat attributable to their song choices. Makes me believe NONE of the 11 have any business moving on. Bad bad bad.”
The original writer went on to talk about how they thought the guest mentors weren’t worth the time on screen and how “none offered anything.” Instead, they would’ve loved to see constructive coaching. Originally, this user loved the banter between this season’s coaches, but now they’re not able to overlook these other things.
