As fans tuned in for the season 26 finale of The Voice, Shye watched as she stood beside Sofronio Vasquez. Another member of Team Michael Bublé, the contestant consistently gained praise not just from her coach but other stars like Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani. But in the end, she decided to go with Bublé, who declared, “You have this wonderful range. You’re so sweet and I’d love to take the journey with you.” With Bublé helping her along the way, Shye ended her time on The Voice, coming in second place. While not winning, the singer discussed her time on the show and who she voted for.
Talking with Patch about her time on The Voice, Shye seemed somewhat surprised with the entire experience. She said, “It was surprisingly such a great process. I got so much out of it.” The shock came from Shye initially auditioning for The Voice out of boredom. “I was bored. I really felt like I had nothing to lose at that point.”
With Shye having to compete against talented singers just to get an audition, she found herself standing in front of music royalty. With Bublé, Reba McEntire, Stefani, and Snoop Dogg looking at her, Shye admitted, “I don’t think there was a single thought behind my eyes. I had to keep singing and pretend that didn’t happen.”

Who Did Shye Vote For On ‘The Voice’?
While coming in second place, Shye didn’t appear heartbroken over the decision as she gushed over Vasquez. “He really deserves it. I’m just glad Team Bublé was the one and the two.” And besides suggesting he “deserved” to win, apparently, the singer helped him out as she admitted to voting for him.
After leaving The Voice, Shye took a moment to thank her fans for their continued support. She posted a collage of pictures on her Instagram, writing, “Thank you so much for the love!!! 2nd is my favorite place to be and i am so hype for what’s next and it’s all thanks to you guys. I’m going to miss this experience and the wonderful people who make it work.”
