PASADENA, Cal. (WTWO/WAWV)— Shortly after the end of the “America’s Got Talent” finale the judges and members of the 10 acts hoping to win the $1 million prize hit the red carpet.

It’s located in a building next to the Pasadena Civic Center where the show takes place.

To get there, you pass by the show’s executive producer and judge Simon Cowell’s Rolls Royce.

Inside the “Red Carpet Room” reporters and photographers from large organizations like NBC, Entertainment Tonight (ET), and People magazine line up with international news organizations and smaller television stations like WTWO for one-on-one interviews with those involved with the popular show.

It was during these interviews Tuesday night that Terre Haute native and singing sensation Richard Goodall told WTWO that he was marrying his fiancé, Angie, on Wednesday in California and talked about being excited to be performing with Journey at the results show. It’s also where the men behind the drone show “Sky Elements” told WTWO that 2016 Rose-Hulman grad and fellow team member, Tyler Johnson, could not be at the finale because his wife just had a baby. The group added they look forward to their visit and the upcoming show in Terre Haute

Besides interviewing all of the contestants, reporters interview the judges. Reporters are politely asked to only ask the judges two questions to keep the line moving. Both Simon Cowell and Howie Mandell said the thought Goodall had a great chance of taking home the top prize.
