And judge Heidi Klum told him:
“Richard, I have been faithfully the biggest fan since the very, very first day we met, all the way through this competition,” Klum said. “You are such an amazing man. You’re so humble and so kind. You’re also a little bit quiet, but not when you are behind that microphone. Then you’re a big rock star!”
She added, “I want you to win this so bad, Richard!”
In a late July interview, Goodall commented on why he believes he has become so admired by his ever-growing fan base.
“Some of it, I think, is that I’m just a common person,” he said at the time.
This country, and maybe the world, are so divided, he said. “I think people just needed something to cheer for and root on.”
They believe a good, decent person “deserves to get something good … deserves a chance at a better life,” Goodall said.
